Participation in Training programs of NWA

National Water Academy (NWA) conducts training programs on all aspects related to Water Resources Planning, Development, and Management. All regular training programs of NWA are open to any citizen of India, viz. Central/ State Government employees, Central/State PSUs employees, private companies, academicians, NGOs, and individuals. Some select programs are also open to foreign nationals. Program fee for each category of participant is shown against each program in the training calendar. This program fee includes cost towards training material, training kit, read transport for any field visit, and tea/coffee and working lunch during the program. It does not include charges towards the travel expenditure for travel to NWA and return, airport/ railway station pickup and drop, travel cost for any field visit that involves air/ rail journey, and lodging & boarding, which are to be borne by the participants themselves.

The NWA has comfortable guest house facilities for accommodating the participants. Participants are normally accommodated on twin sharing basis. All rooms are double bedded and can be used as family accommodation when allotted one-in-a-room. In general, family accomodation is not available for the officers attending the training at NWA. Participants are requested do check beforehand, the availability of independent accommodation, if you intend to bring along your spouse. Accommodation on the campus is generally sufficient, though subject to availability. When applying for a program, please indicate clearly whether you need accommodation on the campus. Participants have the option to make their own arrangements for accommodation. Room rents in the hotels in Pune city vary from Rs. 1000/- per day for ungraded decent hotels to Rs. 8000/- for starred hotels. NWA is located about 15 Km from the city center, and a cab for the whole day may cost about Rs. 1200/-

Training Calendar: The training year for NWA is 1 April to 31 March of next year, and the training calendar is published on the website of NWA. Click on the link in right navigation for the latest training calendar. Normally the dates of a program are firmed up three months in advance and these are indicated in the Upcoming Events web page. This page will also have downloadable program bulletin containing detailed information about the program, fees and registration form.

How to apply: Interested candidates may apply for the same through the registration form (Given in the Program Bulletin) duly filled in and recommended /approved by the sponsoring authority and fax the same to NWA at 020-24380110. The program fee is not required to be submitted along with the registration form.

Confirmation of Nominations Normally, the list of the confirmed nominations is displayed on the website of NWA 15 days before the commencement of the program.

Payment mode The confirmed participants may send their program fee in the form of Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque drawn in favour of "Deputy Director (A&C), NWA, Pune" payable at Pune (NWA does not have the facility for Electronic Fund Transfer). The program fee should reach the Program Co-ordinator on or before the commencement of the program. The participants should start their journey only after getting confirmation of their nomination.
